City advises of critical electricity upgrades in Pinelands, Epping and Langa

The City advises customers in the Epping and Langa areas of upcoming critical electricity supply interruptions for maintenance, which will be carried out from 18:00 on 25 July 2026 until 10:00 the next day. Please note that the outage duration is an estimation and restoration could be delayed due to the complex nature of the high voltage infrastructure work. The areas impacted could include Pinelands, Howard Centre, Epping, Epping Industria and Langa, among others. To view the area outage map visit: https://bit.ly/3Qzf7UF. The City apologises for any inconvenience caused while the essential maintenance is being carried out.
The maintenance is essential to enhance the quality and reliability of electricity supply in Epping. It is important to note that interruptions to supply will only impact the areas on the map and only on the relevant dates. The work is planned to be carried out from 18:00 on Saturday 25 July 2026 until 10:00 on Sunday 26 July 2026, if all goes to plan. An alternate date is also provided should the work not go ahead as planned, weather dependent. The maintenance will be carried out on:
• Saturday 25 July 2026 or 1 August 2026
The outage may impact parts of the following areas, among others:
Pinelands
Howard Centre
Epping
Epping Industria
Langa

Please note:
The electricity supply could be restored at any time and customers must please treat all electrical installations as live for the full duration of the planned maintenance work. Residents are encouraged to switch off appliances as a precaution to avoid damage caused by power surges when the power comes back on.
